easy, the knots mentioned in one are mentioned in another, the ideas from one topic are reused in the next, i just want to save some space and if they all fit it just seems appropriate

I doubt that a heading "John Free's Progs" would attract many people
If you can find any other connection then PLEASE LET ME KNOW
The fact that I find BASIC easiest to program is trivial and immaterial - it is the interdisciplinary nature of the IDEAS that counts.
It is so exciting and useful to realise that what we learn in one specialisation helps us and gives insights in other completely different areas. There is NO NEED to be "expert specialists" unable and unwilling to understand folk trained in other areas!

The above mentioned QBAS vs QB64
There is no interpreter for qb64. So by far the best way is to write, test and debug your progs on QBAS and AFTER THEY WORK take advantage of the superior speed and access to music etc offered by QB64

Several other of the best people who escaped from QB64 to set up their own sites had the same problem - Google has a punctuation error. For exampl;e on QB64 Wiki examples it puts the whole program onto ONE long line! I wrote and told Clippy and he agreed he was too lazy to correct it as he expects Goodle to adjust to him! The new site escapees all found nobody came to their sites and wondered why. On MOST computers Google give BLANK captchas, so you have NO CLUE what words (where) you were being expected to read!
Glad you are fixing it and making the captchas easier - good idea I suspect that the way I DID get in - after 7 hours effort extended over a momth - was via Gmail, but I cannot be sure ; only very glad as for me it works fine now!

i just tried it, and you can see it. i lessened the requirements. if i make it so i have to approve manually the new users, i figure its to hard so i just included a lower level captcha. people can also use facebook accounts and google to sign up

I have a program that will draw knots on screen but I need help knowing how to untie them - or is just pulling the ends enough (i.e it is a mere tangle - NOT knotted!)
PM me or reply here if you'd like to help me
